President Tsuboi's letter regarding attacks
Date: 2001-09-25 Sept. 12, 2001
A Message From President Tsuboi
All of us at DMMI share America’s shock and sadness over yesterday’s horrendous attacks. Throughout Japan and the rest of the world, our fellow DENSO associates are devastated by this crisis and are keeping all Americans in their thoughts and prayers.
Closer to home, DMMI has offered our services to the local Red Cross to help in whatever way is needed, such as hosting a blood drive at our facility. We will communicate more information when plans are finalized.
For now, I urge every associate to become involved in whatever way he or she can, whether through prayer, blood donation, a monetary contribution … or simply by quietly supporting each other during this extraordinary time of grief and shock.
My heart goes out especially to those associates whose family members or friends have been touched in any way by this crisis.
Although we do not yet know the extent to which our operations may be affected by the transportation slowdowns and other nationwide impacts, DMMI departments are already making extra efforts to ensure the smoothest delivery possible of our customers’ products. I am deeply grateful for their attention to this during such a difficult time.
Finally, I would like to thank the many associates who monitored the news and delivered communication to keep teams informed of unfolding events throughout the day. The continual updates helped us pull together and maintain some sense of security during a time of great fear and uncertainty.
Let us continue to support one another and our community with compassion and courage.
