DMMI Associate awarded new car

BATTLE CREEK—For the fifth time, DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc. has presented an associate with a new vehicle for outstanding participation in the company’s suggestion program. Libby Hawthorne, a DMMI associate since 1986, works in Quality Inspection. Since inception of the BEAM (Because Every Associate Matters) program, Hawthorne has submitted 1,017 suggestions for improving the workplace. Associates can earn BEAM points toward a vacation or cash awards as well as for the ultimate award of a new vehicle. Hawthorne chose a 2002 Toyota Camry. To win a vehicle, associates must earn 5,000 points through successful BEAM suggestions for improving the workplace. Hawthorne received the keys to her new sedan at a special awards ceremony on Wednesday, January 9. ###
