DMMI to build new warehouse
Date: 2004-04-30 DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc. announced today that it will build a 120,000-square-foot warehouse west of its manufacturing building on its undeveloped property in Ft. Custer Industrial Park.
The new $4.5-million warehouse will enable DMMI to achieve maximum efficiency for the storage and distribution of materials and parts components.
Akio (Alex) Shikamura, DMMI president, says: “In order for DMMI to continue to maintain its competitive edge in both this country and in the global marketplace, we must continue to provide the best products with regard to quality, cost and delivery. By increasing our warehouse space on our campus, we also will increase our efficiency.” The new warehouse is the second major expansion at DMMI in less than a year. In June of 2003, DMMI announced a 91,000-square-foot expansion to accommodate a new aluminum radiator line and a new aluminum heater core line. The $9-million expansion was completed earlier this year.
